There are different types of leather your hat can be crafted from.
A standard leather or suede will generally give a continuous finish and even colour throughout the hat.
Full grain leather is the highest quality, offering increased strength and durability. However, due to harsh free range environment in which the bovine live, this leather will give a more natural appearance. Marks and scratches may sometimes occur, and on some hats there will be more variation in the colour and finish.
Leather is a natural product, our tannery works very hard to ensure the quality and finish of our leather. Variation however is inevitable and beyond our control, this is because hides are used from different breeds sourced from all over the country.
